Anything you still cannot deal with is therefore your own problem.
Phew, two weeks. That was quicker than I expected but still felt like a very long time. But here we are again, back home. There remains a bit of insect extermination to take care of, but it's still nice to be back.
I've decided to change my name. (I hope it's visible, I noticed someone, possibly Mu Beta is nameless at the moment. I suspect it may be related to the suffix weirdness that sprung up with barelyscrewed.) Count Zero was a character in a Gibson novel. It's so 20th century. Baron Grim is an anagram of my name and more importantly, unique to me. (There are a couple of dead Count Zeroes haunting h2g2.) Anyway, now that we're in the Guide mark III it seems like as arbitrary time as any for a change.

Well, looks like a bug doesn't want me to change my name yet. Oh well.

Awww...
I mean, those are sound reasons and all, but it just feels so odd. I've always known you as Count Zero (or CZ, which in my head always sounds like 'See-Zee' - even though I usually use the pronunciation 'zed' - with a sort of Southern drawl to boot... for which I profoundly apologise. I can't really control it, my brain's just weird sometimes). Hard to imagine it being anything else.
I suppose I'll get used to it, though. Once I stop seeing your name as just a researcher number, anyway.

*AHEM* I think you mean 'née'. Back to Pedants' Corner now
Of course you do know that BG has certain... connotations.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin' alive, stayin' alive

Heh, I'm used to only using the word in crossword puzzles where it won't take accent marks.
Baron Grim nee Count Zero

I'll do my best to think of you as BG rather than CZ.
Hummmmmmm. Wonder if I should change my own name. It is so fourth century.

I agree, please don't change it. In fact for us of mature years, the more of you stay the same the better, till we get used to the new site at least. I like to know who I am chatting to and who is chatting to me I am quite fond of my monicker and wouldn't be able to cope with changing it

Wow... it has been a long time since I've used Goo. I had no idea the was green in here. I'm used to seeing it as a red dragon spewing up a stream of

I know everyone seems to love Goo, but it hurts my eyes and always has.

Now that the suffix troubles have been expunged, I'm back in good ol' usable brunel.

Hypatia Posted Oct 20, 2011
I don't mind brunel, but I've always used alabaster. I like having a toolbar at the top and bottom of the page both. Like other things, it's what you get used to.

For me, its all the ways to navigate the convos. My beloved "My convos" popup thingy is a bit wounded at the moment, but it's still limping along and letting me see nearly instantly when new posts are made. I also like the post navigation thingy on each post so if a post isn't a response to he immediately previous post, I can go straight to the one that it is in response to.
