Would have been 75 years old today.
He'd have hated the fuss, he thought greetings cards were a marketing racket.
He might have let us stretch to a single malt given it was such a special day

My dad is worse than a child on his birthday. Last time, we didn't stay in the house (he had booked an apparnment for us 
), so I le´ft his present in his house the day before, to make sure I wouldn't forget to take it the very day. When we arrived for breakfast, he had already unwrapped it, and he never even mentioned it.
He'd be very offended if he didn't get a card, call and 
for his birthday.
Sorry you can't celebrate with your dad.

Cheers to your Dad, Jules.
It was my Dad's 75th last birthday, he wouldn't celebrate it because Mum wasn't here to share it.
He is currently on holiday with his brother in Australia, the last I heard, he was on the roof fixing the aerial, to watch the cricket!
