Anatomical mystery

Hmmm, why is it that your shins and your forehead, the parts of your anatomy that you're most likely to repeatedly bang into table legs, bar desks and other hard surfaces at the same time are those only covered in a thin layer of skin with absolutely no padding?

And, no -- this is not a thought inspired by last weeks office christmas party. There, I guess the only damage done to anybody was the damage to their pride on being photographed wearing extremely silly red "velour" reindeer antlers smiley - fishsmiley - bigeyes

Hey, try being a trainee jeweller, I don't seem to have any knuckles left, what with piercing saws, files, soldering tourches etc!!!! (Oh yeh, craft knives, bench vices, bench pegs!!!!) Perhaps we should wonder why it is the blunt objects such as desks, chairs and bench pegs that actually do the most damage! A conspirecy, perhaps, between paddingless bits of anatomy and blunt objects. Aaaaaah!

I think I remember something about this from the X-files. Isn't it that people with cold hard logic can be split into two groups, messy minds and tidy minds, and the messy minded people are good guys and the tidy minded people are bad guys?
I have to admit, I am most def. messy minded.
But then my sister sent me a piccy of a mushroom of bad intent, so maybe it's a family thing!!!

I do like the one with the messy minded being the good ones smiley - smileysmiley - smiley

My SO would testify to my mind being very messy, of that I'm sure. So from now on I can just lean back and say "that just mean I'm good..."

Perfect!

Wo, look at this!! We have other people barging into our conversation!!! Hi, where have you been?
Yeh, messy minded. Hmmm, my room tends to reflect my mind in this. I have a headless rancor monster lying on my floor, along with everything else at the mo!

Opinionated Lurker

does the headless-ness render this monstor harmless?
or is it a feature of its fear-inducement?

Don't worry, I won't be disturbing too often -- just have to check my immediate surroundings now and again for headless monsters roaming around making noises and such smiley - smiley

Funny enough, I could have sworn I Heard something moving in it's box last night, just about the time that I acedentally shoved it with my foot...

I have this ugly idea that what you have in your box might be next of kin to what I have lurching and drooling under me bed at night... (with due reference to Calvin & Hobbes) smiley - smiley

The Brain

No, sorry, Calvin & Hobbs is lost on me.
Well, it's glued on now, so at least it has a means of growling etc.
