Heehee... This should be good...

I just got a call from a mate of mine who's into drama and stuff and directs a lot of plays for theatres and such...

Well... last year she directed a play and asked me and another friend of hers who dances to do a tango for the play, to which we happily obliged.

So we choreographed our tango (under the surveillance of this dude's girlfiend coz she was NOT happy about him doing skanky dances with another girl...).

We showed it to the rest of the directing team and they were happy and all...

Until the night of the dress-rehearsal...

Well......

It's not MY fault the stage was one of those raised ones and my dress (actually, I'm still trying to work out how far one can go in calling a strip of material a "dress"...) was really short with pointy bits covering the important parts...it's a TANGO!!!


Anyway...the guy who was funding the whole play was siting right under the stage and he didn't seem to have a problem with anything...until his wife sat down next to him...





So anyway...my friend is directing another play and has called me up again to tango...she's also called the guy I danced with...and here's the laugh - he's not sure if his girlfriend will let him.

Why? Because this play is far more extravagant then the last one...

Well, again you can't blame ME for the clothes I wear!

It's a TANGO for goodness sake!!!

To be honest, I'm just in it for the dance coz I love it so.
Coz half way through the dance we split and I do my own piece anyway (solo latin). And that is awesome.
Ok, so it can VERY easily pass for exotic dancing, but what hey.

It is all fun.. and you have an audience! Silly people!

I want video, I want pictures, I want the address of this bloke so I can kick him in the nadgers before hand just to make sure nothing untoward happens... not that I am in any way jelous or anything, oh no, not me

I don't have a thing for this dude (), so it'll be fine.

And I hope this time when the video they actually catch us on tape - last time the camera had been bumped over and the guy who was meant to be watching hadn't even noticed...

But I will get LOTS of photos!!!

Sounsd like fun!! You must be good. I've mastered the Birdie Song and the YMCA, but the Tango.....wouldn't fit into the "dress". I'd probably fall off the stage.

I was at my cousin's wedding on thursday and the DJ had kareoke stuff with him. The groom got up and was asked to choose 4 others to come up with him. He got my dad up and my unle and cousins, and the DJ gave them all hats to do the YMCA loike the Village People. Very scary, but hilarious.
