I, for one, am glad that some people will never kowtow to TPTB. Even if they're not *entirely* in the right. Even if it means putting your own neck on the line.

If people stop sticking up for what they believe, just because of popular opinion or because someone bigger and with a sharper stick says they should, then the world is in a sorry state of affairs indeed.

So it's good to see such strong opinions being put forth in this discussion.

The mods are quite capable of looking at a thread without closeing it. The only reason for closing it would have been that argument was still ongoing to give everyone chance to calm down. The argument had passed and again as usual the tearoom had moved on to sillyness as is the way of the tearoom.

What angered GB was the fact that TPTB closed this thread EVEN THOUGH it had quite evedently moved on. (can they not read?) I believe this is termed as 'throwing their collective weight about' at best or at worset 'you're not playing nice so I'm taking my ball in and sulking so that noone else can play *pout*' After another thread that has been started up recently regarding the Italics behaviour I'm going to plump for the second option.

is it me or was there alot of complaints about the italics a year ago when i left?

is it really worth coming back if they are getting ready to remove everybody i always talked to?
