That is SO not cool!
Apparently I'm going to have yet ANOTHER sister...

Anyway, last night I went to go visit my family... Hadn't seen them in about two years (since the last time I popped down on holiday - except for Prov, she always came to stay by me at least twice a year for hols). So I called and said I was coming over and arrived shortly after...

*knocks on door*

*door is opened by mom*

MOM: Hello hunny!!! *throws arms around me and almost smothers me*

RAVE: *struggling for breath* Hi mom...
*looks twice at usually thin mother's enormous stomach*
OH MY GOD MOM YOU'RE PREGNANT!!!

MOM: Yes dear, don't you think it's wonderful? *twirls to show off tummy*

RAVE: No...

*MOM: *pulls me into room*
You're going to have a sister!

RAVE: Another one? I'm getting too old for this!

PROV: Why, don't you like us? *tackles me onto the couch and starts tickling me*

RAVE: *in fits of giggles* Prov, stop that! I'm trying to be serious here!
*pushes her off and sits on her*
Why wasn't I told?

MOM: Didn't we tell you?

RAVE: No...

MOM: Oh dear...I must've forgotten. *worries a bit about what else she might've forgotten to tell me*

(This I believe quite easily actually. She's horribly scatter-brained like that and she'd forgotten to tell my dad when she was preggy with Storme.)

RAVE: So when are you due?

MOM: I've still got another 2 months.

RAVE: Doesn't it disturb you that you're oldest kid is 32 and you're pregnant again?

MOM: No...Why should it? Does it disturb you?

RAVE: YES!!!! There's a shorter age gap between you and me than there is between me and some of my siblings!!!

And she laughed at me and that was it. Well, I guess that's what you get when your parents are hippies and still walk around barefoot and in tie-dyes.

I remember that my brother had a friend who had 7 siblings. When he was 18 or 19, he told my brother that his mum was pregnant...again. He was so embarassed!

Atleast your mum is happy! Though a little freaky that she's 7 months gone, and completely forgotten to tell you! Imagine what it would have been like if she'd had the baby, and then told you!!!

How old is your mum>

48 - she married my dad when she was 15 and had Danika at 16.

Well put it this way - if you feel like you want kids but you don't want to keep them, you could always go spend time with your new little sister!

must be really weird though....You're old enough to be the father of your 10 year old sister and the new baby...but you're just the brother!

Wow, now that's not normal. Congratulations anyway though, your mum sounds happy about it. I've got 2 brothers and we get by fine. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like with another sibling but that's not really possible for my parents now.

Try 6 other siblings...

My parents would freak if they had another baby now. They're happy knowing that we've grown up and have our own stuff and lives, plus no more big expenditures for them so a baby would ruin all that. Dad would laugh when he told us about guys he knew his age who were just having babies now.

I've got loads of cousins, does that count for anything?

I almost had 3 brothers I think because my older one was supposedly a twin in the womb but my mum lost the other one a few weeks into the pregnancy and just had him instead.

no. have an older brother. I mean having a younger sibling or a twin. A younger sibling would've been cool.
