h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The last entry was much too gloomy, so I'll make a new one. I've given some very serious thought to alternatives to my present situation, but after thinking a whole night through, I've come to the conclusion that this *is* really what I want. So I'm keeping at it, come highs or lows

Now, I want to write something about what it is that I really want: university is very interesting. I just wish it were just the lectures without all the other stuff around involved (waste of time during endless pauses, demotivating people etc.). It's really a lot to learn. And basically I *do* want to learn all this, but I still need to figure out my personal management . I started out with 24 hours of lectures and courses per week, and now it has melted down a little to 20 hours. One seminar was too full, so I got kicked out, and another I've decided to postpone till next semester (a lecture on ancient history, namely. It would be too much extra-work, as I never learned Latin in school, and my knowledge of the Roman Empire is largely based on Asterix )

So now I still have medieval history, modern history, sociology theories, political theory, political systems, international politics, institutional economy, business English, and aditional training courses for economy and politics. That means *counting* eight exams at the end of term. You really get dragged through uni in these Bachelor-degree-courses...

Love that cartoon...I used to 'nick' (slang for stealing) those comics from my cousin.

I still love the Asterix movies, haven't seen them for some time now, but they are usually repeated on TV once every 2 years or something..not that I had a TV here, though

And now let's test this thing called profanity filter: My internet is total crap There are about 7 thingies on my desktop and one told me my online-time...which was far more than I've been online! (problem: no flat-rate for me, to expensive) And now this window has vanished, but I have to activate and fiddle with the other 6 thingies to get online Going to read the manual once more
