Traumatic Times
Phil Posted Dec 6, 2003
I am back on solid food again but am taking much time to chew small bits. It is something that has been building over the years but it's never happened quite that bad before and if I thought there was a chance of serious damage to my insides I might have gone to see a doctor before now but you don't till the critical moment when it does all go wrong do you (or at least I don't anyway).

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Dec 6, 2003
I think its quite a normal thing for people to wait till they are really* ill before going to the like when I got tonsilitis, it was only when I found I was no longer able to swallow beer that I trotted along to the GP Was almost worth it for his look of supprize and comment, 'I've not seen a case of tonsilitis this advanced for years' Well lettuce hope it doesn't reaccure

Nobody likes to believe they're ill enough to need a . This thing's just crept up on us, every episode being a little bit worse and longer lasting. But after 2 hours of Phil not being able to swallow even a glass of water, I'd have called in some burly bouncers if necessary to tie him up and bundle him down to hospital.
It's great to see Phil up and about and tucking (slowly and carefully ) into his tea and again.
Thanks and to all who've offered me hugs as well, it was a scary couple of days I don't want to repeat!

Crikey Nora, that must have been alarming. Glad to hear it's back under control, and three cheers for MC!
