I usually dont recognise spelling mistakes because I dont know what the right spelling is.... a classic thing was these targets we had to write at school... I put *To improve my speeling* ....
I think I´m a little calmer at least...

Oh! I know how to spell. My problem is nerve damage, it can make my fingers fly across the keys! Sometimes I think I have typed something properly only to find that my left hand must have only been skimming the keys and not actually pressing them properly.

I have a selection of weird aspects... apprently they´re all connected in some way... dislexic, scot-something-or-other (nothing to do with being scottish, to do with not being able to read stuff written on bright white paper I think...) and I have photosensitive eyes which is somehow connected to my eyes being slightly different colors.... One blueish and ones greenish... Oh look I´m wierd....

Do you wear tinted glasses for reading?
It has been proven that certain colours... don't laugh!
Pink, Lilac, Blue,
Grey and even Orange........ are capable of pulling the words back into focus and onto the straight line.
My daugher E has used the Blue tint and claims that it does work ...
for her at least.

Ah glad you think so... I have this funny overlay piece of greenish plastic I´m suppposed to use, but generally I only need it when the paper is very white or the lights are bright and make a glare off it

Yes. I could never understand E's problem when she said that!
Then last year I saw a documentary and they used trick photography to show how this would look to a dyslexic.... then I realised, I get that when I am tired.
I can read the same paragraph 5 or 6 times before I can finish it. It always happens when I am tired.
My main problem is with numbers, I transpose them... mix them up... but I have always had trouble with 6's... don't know why! Yet I worked for an accountant and used to do analysis' for him. But if I said his work was wrong... he admitted it was likely to be wrong... because I would keep checking until I found the correct figure! I never believed that other people were correct, because that would mean typing them at least twice and I used to hate that!

Ah but then you have to concentrate even more when you´re tired when that happens and that makes you even more tired (or get tired if like me you get it anyway) and only makes it worse.... I used to be so frustrated.... especially as it wasnt catered for or understood when I was at school... I was just classed as stupid and difficult My german teacher hated me... I hated him aswell so hey...
Looks like you can probably ignore half of that ramble...

I was only aware that my eldest daughter was not stupid! But required extra time and understanding. I did a lot of work with her at home... the school gave me extra homework for her to do with supervision. It worked... she was capable of pulling her weight in the class and fighting her own corner when asked questions.
This also helped VV improve beyond her years... because she used to sit in with us. I could not turn her away when she was so eager to learn. But I used to have to tell her to write her answers down at the dining table away from her sister... otherwise she was giving the answers out!
