I guess some of you folks lurk around the BBC cult site and have made a lot of mates on the boards. So you'll know that the end is nigh, and the boards etc are going. Hi Emma. *sympathetic* I read your post! Unfortunately the closure of the XF MB was only to be expected eventually, seeing as the programme has ended but the closure of the entire Cult site is a bit of a shock. I think I saw somewhere that 'Talk Buffy' is to close too. So every cloud...

As for whether the BBC ever liked XF... it was a highly popular TV programme once, with a prime time slot on BBC1. That changed a long time ago (S7 onwards?), and it was apparently well-known that the contoller on BBC2 was not an XF fan.

Anyway, I've posted my 'farewell' to the MB. I made some wonderful friends through it (and through h2g2) and for that I am eternally grateful.
