I started writing this earlier and was going to post it elsewhere when it was done. Now I have completely lost my train of thought as to where I was going with it. Now I cannot post it to a forum where I have to sound like am mildy articulate.

Like many Minnesotans including Tim Pawlenty, I was disturbed by the recent dissappearance and appearent abduction. I have always been against the death penalty but when I hear about "heinous" crimes such as this, I sometimes find my conviction wavering. This was the case recently until I heard the discussion on Midday this morning. Representative Tom Hackbar...

I know this man (Hackbar) is an idiot. I just can't explain why. Suffice it to say, at the end of the day [note to self: don't forget to do that rant about cliches and overused phrases] he reminded my again why I am opposed to the death penalty and why arguements that support it are empty and stupid.

I forgot to mention that I heard this Hackbar and a death penalty opponant on the radio this morning. The radio comes on while I am still asleep. I usually don't actually wake up when it turns itself off 2 hours later,
I was sleeping during this call-in show and some one called in and asked Hackbar something like "what about the innocent people who could be excecuted if there is a mistake somewhere in the justice system" (which almost never happens says Hackbar). Hackbar says (something like) "well what about the innocent people that are killed by criminals and their (innocent people's) families.
So I'm hearing this in my sleep and in my dream I am screaming "but this does not justify the death penalty! This is a completely stupid justification for the dealth penalty." It obviously does not answer the callers question about those who might be mistakenly excecuted, duh!" and I am throwing things at Mr Hackbar from the audience. Hoping infact to be thrown out of the hall.
I was dissappointed when I realized that I was dreaming and that I was in bed and no-one was going to throw me out. And that I had to get up because the radio turned itself which meant that I had slept till flippin' noon.
Key: Complain about this post
