Um... what year are we up to? I need to save up, too. It's hard to do that while I'm still a student, and I might not have enough time to save up afterwards. But I can try!

And Job, I don't /know/ of any conversations you're not part of and would want to be. You automatically get added to the conversations of all the people you have listed as friends anyway, same as anyone.

You mean regular conversations like posts to an entry instead of to a journal? 
Journal entries are just the same as other entries, they just have a date attached to them.

To explain:
When you add someone to your Friend's List you're automatically subscribed to any Journal entry conversation they have. BUT, you are not automatically subscribed to any other more personal messages on their space that were started by someone else via their "Discuss This Entry" button. If you want to be subscribed to those you need to ask for it specifically by clicking the link "Click here to be notified of new conversations about this Guide Entry." And finally, if you've added someone to your Friend's List they aren't automatically subscribed to your Journal's until they've added you to their own Friend's List.
