...very helpful.....
For you I came to forsake
Lay wide despise and hate
I sing of you in my demented songs
For you and your stimulations
Take what you can of me
Rip what you can off me
And this I'll say to you
And hope that it gets through
...sorry... that didnt have alot to do wiht anything.... but then agiain, i had nothing really to say...

Blackberry Cat , if one wishes to remain an individual in the midst of the teeming multitudes, one must make oneself grotesque Posted Dec 5, 2004
'A poet is like the birds of passage...
They pass singing in the distance, the world
Knows nothing of them except their voice...'

hm... i dont know that song... who sings it?
i wonder what it would feel like if it was 1959... it would be so different. i'd probably be dressed quite differently. and all the music i like wouldnt have been made yet. and i woulldnt have this computer here....
what do you think it'd be like job?
"youre walking a differnt direction than most people i've met, you're giving me signs of affection i dont usually get, i dont want you to pledge your future, the future is not yours to give, just stand there a little longer and let me watch while you live."
mmm... such a nice song... and i finally found that cd
don mcleans greatest hits.... i havent ever listened to anything else by him... but i sure like that cd

Lord Job Boron. That's Lord Job Boron To You! Posted Dec 9, 2004
I assume it has american pie on it.
Its sisters of mercy with 1959. I dont think it whould be that different but thered be the cold war to think about, which was still going on when that song was written.

Arisztid Lugosi Posted Dec 9, 2004
sure does have american pie. not my favorite song of his though. and for some reason its only about half the song
i think things would be very differnt if it was the 50's
the role of women would be quite changed, and i'd probably be wearing some poodle skirt or something(poodle skirts were 50's right?)

And my school subjects would be different and I would be following any particular fashions to my knowledge. I think things would change alot more for you.

Arisztid Lugosi Posted Dec 9, 2004
quite probably.
ewww... poodle skirts!
...but who knows maybe i'd hate them then too...
i mean if you took me as i am now and put me back then theres not a chance i'd chance to be like them.... i think i was asuming being brought up back then, and now being 18 in the year 1959...

Lord Job Boron. That's Lord Job Boron To You! Posted Dec 9, 2004
