I'm never using the word fianc in a GuideML entry ever again.
Boss is too busy today to have a meeting so I can quit. When his secretary asked if she could could take a message I was tempted to say, "Yeah, tell him I quit" but I don't think that would go over very well.
Tomorrow I guess.

Well, good luck with all that. You have a place in Napa picked out? You have a job picked out? Not that I'm saying you should, mind you; after all, I still have neither and am doing what I consider to be just fine. Whatever.

I have it pretty much worked out. My family owns a huge old house in Healdsburg. My mom wants to sell it but she can't afford anyone to fix the place up for her so I'm going to stay there for a few weeks to fix up her place and go back to school full time to learn computer programming. My wife can't work until she gets a work permit anyway and right now I live in the zombi-ridden SF tenderloin and anything is better than that. So we're keen to move but couldn't afford anything nicer on my salary. My current boss is a real *#$@Q#%$%^! and was probably going to fire me at the end of this year anyway. (It's a long, long story.) It should more or less work out somehow. I'd like to write but I've been strugglign with the start of a novel and I think I've come to the conclusion that I'm just not very good at it. I'm more of a screenplay writer. What kind of writing have you been doing?
