I'm in a very bad mood now 
Went into town this morning to order the wedding present for my friends wedding
About to pay for it - little machine says my PIN is wrong even though it 
ing isn't 
Go to the cashpoint to check my balance (although there should be oodles of cash in there as my salary went in on Friday) and the ing cashpoint retains my ing card
Get home and report it,
'Very sorry sir, we'll send you a new card, it should be with you in 4 working days'
I'm going to ing Galway on Wednesday

For what it's worth, the cash point at my local shop isn't handing out any cash, I had to borrow some money off my son to pay for our fish & chips lunch yesterday

up untill i got this new job i kept all my money in my room hidden on a shelf behind a row of videos, just so i wouldnt have to deal with the bank.

I'm sorry for you BC. Here, the ATM usually is out of order when you need it most - during lunchtime, when the bank is closed, and on weeknds - such is life, eh ? If the machine keeps the card, you go into the bank when it opens and report the loss, they then unlock the machine and give you your card back - can't they do it at your bank ?

I'm going to have to do something similar for this trip to Ireland
Take out what I think I'll need then a bit extra just in case and hope I don't get robbed

No, they just cancelled it and said they'd send out a new one
Perhaps because I told them that I'd used the correct PIN (which I did) so presumably it was wearing out or damaged or something

In that case you're lucky it takes only four days, I think it takes a few weeks to get a new card here

yes, but only at my own branch and my cashcard was also my cheque garantee card so I'll have to take lots of cash to Ireland

I think I've worked out what happened
Well I put all my cards in a different wallet yeterday
This morning I found I still have a debit card
Yesterday I must've used the one I lost about 18 months ago
No wonder the PIN was wrong
Anyway that means I needlessly canceled my card
Still I've got my cash and my Euros so it should be ok
Still the banks fault though
