Oh god, I am so scared. My parents went out for a walk today, as they often do, and left me alone in the house. I'm fine with that, I was reading a book. Then these people ring the doorbell. So, instinctively, I don't answer it. They persist, and persist, so I freaked out and ran around the house turning all the lights on and looking for the phone (it's a cordless). Then I gave in and spoke on the intercom.. they said they had a policeman ... and he was round the back and i should open the door... I got so scared ... I thought maybe it was a cunning way of trying to break in.. then i heard my mum's voiced and opened the door.. and there WAS a policeman there.. and they said they'd seen this bloke staring at our house through the bushes.. and one of our windows was open..I was so scared.. It was our neighbours as well.. being nice.. but scaring the hell out of me!

That was about ten minutes ago. I'm still shaking.

Call me a wimp if you like but I don't care. I was freaked.

If you do find you've got a prowler, if your scared about anything at all.. scream your bleeding head off. Loud as you can.. throw things.. kick up a fuss.. wake the whole area up. Dial 999, set fire to the house (well maybe not) but the ultimate and most important thing is that you attract attention, scare the perpetrator and remain safe. Your instinct is healthy, fear is healthy. Remember to use it.

Thank you thankyou. Yeah I'm all calm now but I was really freaked out yesterday.. I still feel like a dork for being creeped but if you say it's okay then alright. I was trying to phone my godparents but I couldn't find the bleeding telphone!! Ah well, at least nothing happened.. At least now I know myself!
