My face hurts so much I no longer even notice my sore foot. There are blessings in small mercies, I believe.

Weather: beautiful, cooling. Bicycling: being taken very easy at present in my drug-addled, painful condition. Dogs: considered uniformly awful (sorry, bubster, but your puppies aren't big, smelly German Shepherds which live inside...).

Life goes on, it just doesn't seem to be going anywhere in particular, at the moment...!

On behalf of my puppies, I officially forgive you. I pause only to note that they take up as much room on the bed as a big smelly German Shepherd!

I hope something comes along to cheer you up a bit - it's getting damn depresing reading your Journal these days! Maybe the pain will subside with the changing weather.

I am glad to have your forgiveness, and the change in the weather has coincided with some improvement in my state of health. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything particularly interesting to say about things going reasonably well...

What's happening at your end? How is the big house, and for that matter the puppies as well?

You know that most of the people out there are going to assume 'the big house' means the slammer! And, in fact, thinking about it: maybe we'd be better off if it was. Certainly the country would be better off if we locked 'the inmates' away!

I like the look of today: sunshine, bit of wind, puppies outside racing about destroying things as is their wont.

Also like the look of the next two weeks: 4 'working' days and all the rest *not* working days... gotta be happy with that.

Are you around town for Easter, or off to see the folks?

I'll be around town for Easter and the immediate aftermath (ANZAC Day), but I'm heading home after that for a few days - good to travel when the buses and trains aren't likely to be booked (as you can do when the "working days" phenomenon doesn't really affect you!).

I sympathise with locking the inmates away, too, they're saying some truly ridiculous things this weekend. I just finished watching 'Groundhog Day' on the tube, and the resonances were astounding.

Hope the puppies aren't destroying too much. How big are they now, anyway?
