h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

 I ran into a very nice object today. It's called a Slinky and it's rainbow colored. It can expand in the most interesting way and even walk down stairs. (of course, it has yet to master walking UP stairs, which means it is as yet a primitive life form) It's name is Bob. It gave me a towel, which I am very happy about, since I hadn't yet gotten a towel. The said towel is blue and orange and yellow with green and purple pineapples.

Careful now.
When the first person uttered that immortal phrase "it's all fun and games until somebody loses and eye", the matter in question concerned slinky-based entertainment gone awry.
Although if yours is rainbow coloured, it is undoubtedly not of the old skool metal variety which proved much more dangerous (to the point of tetanus), thus allowing you to operate your slinky in greater confidence.
Ahh, the nineties. How far we have come.
