It has been rather a long time since I worte a journal entry - so much else to do I guess.
Things trot along at a fairly hectic pace here as per normal. We are in the middle of revamping the kitchen - which leads to the rest of the downstairs needing attention followed closely by the upstairs! You know how it goes... a few licks of paint in one place make the rest look terrible.
Still - give me a few months and I may get it done - I AM a member of the Procrastinators Society after all!
I tracked down a copy of Might and Magic VIII on ebay recently, plus a cut price version of M&M IX, so I have the whole series (including Heroes) up to date now - something tells me it was not a good idea to install VIII whilst all this decorating is staring me in the face. Oh well - TM has finally invested in a dvd player and plenty of films, so he doesn't mind too much when I pop upstairs to 'take my men out' (even though the 'hero' of M&M VIII is actually a heroine). eh?

Role Playing Games Monsy
They started out as extremely limited, mostly text-based games on Commodore +4, improved and moved to, among other things Sega and finally started appearing on cdrom.
You know the format - Hero/Heroine given task, gets involved with other characters along the way, has to undertake loads of quests and problem solving and finally defeats the evil and is showered in glory.
I know, I know - there are probably far more profitable ways to waste time, but I've always been an addict. Remember I only ventured onto the net to seek help with a particularly tricky problem in M&M6?
So - I knew VIII was out in 2000, but didn't have the time or money to chase down a copy, then they released IX a few weeks ago. I went on ebay to see if I could complete my collection with VIII and found a cut-price one of IX also.
Now - I just need a few months to play them all through!
