Gosh!
Tonight I received a card... a voting card... all in Dutch.
It had my name on it... Mevrouw... 
It has a barcode on it also... it reminds me of woodstock speak 
This 'Stad in Het Groene Hart' (Town in the Green Heart) has a considerable amount of money to spend on the community, so invitations were issued to collect suggestions. They have now whittled the choice down to 17 ideas and we all get to vote for our favourite! 
Would that elections for public office were so much fun!

June 14 was / is my birthday. I liked your name Sharon so I clicked on you, i'm looking for some help on getting the most out of h2g2 and maybe make a new friend or two, I nearly typed fiend.

thank you for responding to my post, I'm just getting used to h2g2 and I'm not quite sure what I'm doing, sort of the story of my life. I guess you have some connection to Holland from your nickname, I live in New Zealand now altough I'm originally from Liverpool in England, there are lots of Dutch people here one of my best friends is from Frieshland or somewhere that sounds similar, her name is Thysje and she is lovely.
This all sounds rather dull and boring, apologies in advance. As an Ace perhaps you could offer some tips on using h2g2 to further my writing ambitions and / or how to effectively communicate with people using this medium.
