h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Supermarkets.. they almost always have big piles of the things that produce's come in which you're allowed to filch. Waitrose are the best, although I'm pretty sure that all of the others do exactly the same thing, and therefore have lots of boxes too. If you can find a greengrocer's and filch the large shallow boxes with handles that they have, those are the best for books, and they're stackable too.

I use a suitcase for mine.

Ah.. groovy!.. I have a small box of semi-precious stones all of which have strange stories which are yet to be unpacked and sitting on the desk of my room in Southampton.. I should stick those on a nice prominent shelf.

ooh! .. ( in particular to My Ruin..).. .. coool! *worships*.. ahem.

Everyone's out of the house. *has just plugged speakers in and is listening to the Hell March from the Red Alert soundtrack.

I'm a big Tairrie B fan. I can confirm that she does indded smell gorgeous. And she ASKED ME for a hug. That was a while ago...

It's that time of year when you can have a steaming hot bath, but still feel cold......but it was OK. Just waiting for my hair to dry out a little so I can it.

Ah modern life...

.. cold is bad. I don't think I've had a hot bath for.. .. months, though. I'm a shower person, me. As obsessive as I am about washing my hair and showering every morning (not washing my hair every morning.. that would be far too much hassle.. that gets done every few days), I'm not really a bath person. I have to be in a certain sort of mood. Yeah..

Well, I've spent the last 10 minutes sitting in the middle of my four-cornered speaker setup (expensive speakers with subwoofer in front of me, large expensive aiwa hifi speakers behind me, none of which I paid for) and swirling around on a typists chair. Every time I swirl around, I expect the sound to move around with the room, but it doesn't, because of the surround speakers. It's actually a really cool sensation. No, really!

let me try that again.

We don't have a shower. I have a bath whenever I feel sutibly dirty/icky (every other day basically). Not obsessively concerned with cleanliness...although I don't want to smell either!!!

I think I am going to go and do something else sometime soon. Not sure what. Maybe my PS-one needs to be played on. Or something needs to be written. Or read. Not sure. Too much and too little to do...

aww, ok. *nods sagely*.. futurama and friends are on in a little bit. I'm well overdue for some brain-sucking-out TV. (And since I have a laptop, I can play on the internet on the sofa whilst watching and eating.. ah, the joys of being a total slob..)

I'll probably be back in a bit. Unless I finally get started on a series of concept short stories I came up with a while back...

Then again, I might come on here and do that at the same time!!!!!
