It appears that I may be moving again. four moves in three months... mmm, yummy. . this time, I'm at least moving into a house (rather than a flat), and one in which there are cats.

I absolutely adore cats, but my parents are allergic, and university halls prohibit pets. (and are completely impractical for them in any case)... *loves the cats at the house he may move to, too*
one of them's called Sophy.. she's a gorgeous tortoiseshell, and she KNOWS how gorgeous she is. She refuses to be stroked, but if you stick your head into her and nuzzle her, she purrs like a lawnmower. She really is beautiful. .. (she's also the most agile, quickest-reactioned cat I've ever met)...

I have :-
2 tortoiseshell (they are the prettiest kitties of all!)
2 ginger
and
1 neurotic moody spaz of a cat. Most like me. Doesn't go out much and only likes to cuddle on her own terms.
! kitties. Going to miss them all so much when I eventually get over to the US

Rosie & Jess (t-shell) Eddie & Tiggy (Ginger) and Lemmie (Neurotic female black and white)...
I live my with Mum...so she'll look after them. But still
I'm going to get a hamster when I am over there I think. Or some fish. Have to have a pet
That is, *if* I get over there Everything is f***ing up...no motivation...

I only want to go for 6 months...and what with quarantine and all, it wouldn't be worth it
So I might as well get nothing at all & suffer

No, I meant adopt a cat whilst you're there and have friends either side of the atlantic. (sorry, did I bug you in the other forum?)

What? No! You never bug me!
I don't know anyone in the States...not even people on here too well. Not enough to trust. Plus, I want to go it alone. Gives me better scope to write. I want to make friends and the suchlike...but nothing to bog me down and hold me back. Although I am sketching in a visit to Vancouver, BC, Canada if I can (there's someone on here I would quite like to meet)...
So I don't think animals would be a wise idea. Wouldn't really be fair on them. I probably won't be in half the time to look after them...then again, I am planning on flat..house sharing...so they might already have one...

well, thankyou.. back
right. *nods*.. if you don't mind my being nosy, how (ie. in what manner) do you assign trust to people you've never met? (*finds other peoples mental habits fascinating*)
.. who?
Ok.. right. well, maybe you can find someone with cats, like me. .. cats goooooood.

I don't know.
Actually, that's a really good/bad thing you have reminded me of. Can't trust most people...
I used to work on instinct, but that doesn't work all the time.
Don't know.
Suppose it is just the mental image I have of folks...

I used to be picky about trust, but when I got to know people, I pretty much handed it out depending on how well I knew them. Unfortunately, life's caused me to be extremely cynical, and I'm now very very hesitant about trusting people at all.
How much do you trust people on hootoo, for example?

This is a really really bad topic for me to start thinking about.
I met Bob the Farmer (as you might know) last week, and he was a nice person...don't know what to say to him now we've met though.
But that's not why it's bad.
For example, you really have to go searching for the posts where I mention my first name (and they are to Bob); I only put one of my email addresses up, and I would never consider any more without lengthy email contact. BUT, I think the majority of people on here are really nice & trustworthy. However, I am very afraid of how people perceive me. I am not the most...social person. It's complicated to explain...but my social inadequacies lead people to assume the wrong things about me. I'm a bit of a retard really - need quiet one to one's & lenthy-ness for people to really know me. So for that reason, I don't trust others too much.
That's not why I can't make it to the meet though! Unemployment keeps me away...
