I've just had a look back at all researchers in my ACE'd list and with the exception of one or two I've done this week - none of them have visited the site for years.... How good does that make me feel. In fact, most of them only visited the once to register and I scared them away....

Top marks Bassman - go to the top of the effective ACE's list NOT!

Got to run 6 AM wake up tomorrow and it's after 11 already.

Like I said at the meet up, the list I was referring to had a finite start date and you may well have been before that.

I just had a quick look - I removed the start date, as it was ages ago and made me look like I was slacking in my duties!

Being an ace is about more than just welcoming people - its about being a good community member - setting a great example to everyone, being helpful, diffusing difficult situations etc. Now while being here more helps with this I think it is also important to show that these ideals can also be demonstrated by less frequent visitors.

I am not here nearly as much now and have considered if I should also hand in my badge, but have not yet reached a conclusion

I did hand mine back for a while, and got reinstated when I had more time to spend. I suppose I didn't notice that I'd let it slip again and am feeling bad. I used to get really upset about lazy ACEs getting the glory while the others did the work. I think if I get asked to hand it in I will.

I got a message the other day where someone said it was good to see me around a lot more.... I was quite touched
