I'm hoping to have the Maltesers update finished, and into Update within the next few days. If you can see any errors, or improvements than can be made, please post them at the bottom of the Entry.
Has anyone got any suggestions for our next writing project? We could write a new entry, either from the list on the Club's page, or a new suggestion.

After Eights do a a few different versions and it would be rather nice to need an excuse to buy the ice cream cornets

I had After Eight ice cream cones last week, and didn't save the box for info
Hmm ok, could do. What we need to be careful of, and I think (hope) we've done that with the Maltesers Entry, is not to make it like we're advertising the product. To do that we need the surrounding history and such like. For instance - have I imagined this, or has Nestle changed the length of their After Eight box, so that people who bought the fancy silver coloured rack (for the want of a bettter word) for their boxes of After Eight mints, now find it's useless as the new boxes of After Eight mints don't fit in it?
Anyone else got any comments? Happy to go with the After Eight Mints Entry?

Are you sure you weren't having a nightmare, Em?
I personally don't think we could be construed as advertsing if we deal with most (if not all) of the products available in Britain I'm off work next week so I'll try and compile a list of choccy bars and boxed varieties for us to, perhaps, go through in turn? I have three children who are willing and able researchers. If we treat each product individulally, although not necessarily an individual entry, we can compile a sizaeble chocolate directory

It was when I was reading the Weetabix thread, that was in Peer Review recently that I got a bit concerned that the Maltesers Entry may be viewed as advertising, but there are no comments to say how good they are, or anything like that, just the facts, so it should be ok.
I found two sources of information for After Eights so far
http://www.nestleeuropeanchocolate.com/aftereight/collection/about.asp
and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/After_Eight
There's some interesting info on those, and info missing, such as they are individually wrapped, are available in small boxes of five (I think it's five) and the ice cream cones/cornets.
Anything you can think of off-hand, that's not on those pages?
I disagree with the Christmas comment, people buy them all the year round.
Maybe later we could do Entries on the chocolate manufactures - Mars, Cadbury's, Nestle etc. As I'm finding out about these, I'm discovering things I didn't know, such as 'Fry's' is part of Cadbury's and has been since 1919. There's a lot of confusion with who makes/own what choc company
My partneer wants to come on PC, fly his plane, and get shot down, he hogs PC for hours I'll be back on PC later, hopefully.

We get the straws regularly, and they did (or perhaps, still do) an orange version, and a white chocolate one. Neither seem to be mentioned, in my cursory glance, of each website. I thought it was interesting though, that they are kosher

I've only seen the regular in the shops, though I don't look that often. I go shopping with partner, you know what men are like, they don't wanna look at nothing, and just cause I look at something *he* assumes I want it.
I've just started this A12804798 what do you think of the title?
and am currently gathering info via
http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-16,GGGL:en&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=After+eight+chocolates&spell=1
Though most of the pics don't lead to info, I like looking at them. The straws is the first piccy, maybe you could post some info on the straws, I assume they're mint. How many, and the weight etc.

I think that's the first time I've ever done that
What I was going to say, before I clicked the wrong button, was I bought a mini box of 5 After Eight mints 79p! for five. Doubt if I'll be able to buy the straws or a larger box of After Eight mints. Will have to rely on others to supply the info, either that or stand in the middle of shop, with magnifying glass, notepad and and risk getting evicted from shop by security guard
