I need a couple field researchers for our first project: Updating Maltesers - A378290

This consists of buying a regular packet of Maltesers and counting how many are in the packet before or while eating them. Then posting here with the amount of Maltesers, and information from the packet, such as the weight, ingredients and anything else that you think is relevant.

Unless I'm mistaken, there's a Maltesers ice-lolly, someone is also needed to buy one of those, and as you lick and suck it, think of what it tastes like? How similar to a Maltesers, and post that here, along with relevant information from the wrapper.

Any Volunteers?

I've just had a packet of Maltesers smiley - drool there were 16 in the standard 37g packet. Is that an exact number or an average? If more Researchers post here with their finding, we'll fine out. smiley - smiley

There's also a standard packet of white Maltesers if anyone fancies trying those, and letting us know the details, though you get less in the white Maltesers, 35g.

I'll list the rest of my findings on the Maltesers entry, which I haven't done anything with yet, waiting for suggestions. smiley - oksmiley - smiley

Hi smiley - smiley

I'm afraid I've eaten rather too many maltesers ice creams already this summer so I can be one of your roving reporters smiley - ok

They come in milk or white chocolate and are vanilla ice-cream inside whichever chocolate shell you've chosen. Mixed into the ice-cream are little tiny maltesers. They have a funny wiggly shape. They come in boxes of four. They are yummy smiley - biggrin

Hope that's helpful for your Entry!

We already have a description of the ice creams near the bottom of A12180953 would you say that is an accurate description?

Did you get to try the original Maltesers ice cream, the three flat circles on a lolly stick?

Yes that looks very clear. I seem to have missed the boat with my advice, never mind! I didn't check when your original request for info was made.

When I first had the new ones I preferred the old ones (ice creams). Now I think they're of a similar niceness smiley - ok

smiley - cheers Julesk, you were correct about the mini Maltesers mixed with the ice cream. I should have known to listen to a Maltesers ice cream expert. smiley - smiley

Have credited you to the Entry smiley - ok

Oh, can you remember if there were three or four of the original Maltesers ice creams in a box?

Not 100% but I'd say three, as those sort of dessrts used to be annoying for sharing between two of us.

Thank you for the credit smiley - biggrinsmiley - blush
