As usual, here's my bit of Christmas doggerel for this year ...

I think it expresses how I feel -

Sorry folks, but I'm on strike
But you can party all you like
Not for me excess and stuff
Once again, I’ve had enough

The year’s been tough but we made it through
And again I send my love to you
I'll think of you on Christmas Day
While I relax in my own way
No fuss, no gifts, no Christmas tree,
No stress, no guilt, no spending spree.
Just good thoughts of peace and love
‘Cause when it comes to push and shove
You see dear friends it’s all too hard
So all you’ll get’s this Christmas card.

(and all you're getting is this for all your hard work this year)

Not called in for a while,Christmas shopping and the like you know!!

It's actually Christmas night here in Australia

Didn't do a big Christmas dinner (read the poem) - just a light salad for lunch but I have just indulged myself in a large bowl of watermelon, mango, peach, nectarine, strawberries and cherries

Another one over and done with!!They come round so fast now!Hope you had a peaceful day,I did.We had our "Christmas"last Saturday with daughter and Grandie,the whole bit,pressies under the tree,crackers on the table etc; etc;!Grandie had another Christmas day today with her Dad so she has scored big time!!

Went to the Boxing Day sales ,with daughter and partner this morning,can't say it was fun!Too many people for my liking!Did get cards,wrapping paper and bonbons for next year tho',so I guess it was worth it! Have some bubbly for the New Year!

Hello feisor...I sort of followed your distructions and found myself going dizzy and tight chested and the colours went weird and then the clocks went backwards and then forwards and I saw Dr Who, who wagged his finger at me....And then I was here!!

Can't say I enjoyed the trip but it was the FIRST!

So your journal is a yearly thingy! Cool! A bit like Mrs Benson's Christmas card, we send each other the same cards every year and just date them. 15 years this year.

Well, at least you got here - and the trip sounds exciting - either that, or you had your belt too tight

Remember, any day when you learn something new is a good day

I love the card idea - I used to know a family who did that with a particularly nasty looking figurine. Each year it would be disguised and passed to an unsuspecting relative A bit of an "in joke" I know, but a fabulous family tradition
