How could I forget to mention that New Belgium Brewery has finally made its way to Texas? No more rationing the beer we brought with us when we moved from Colorado - now all I need to do when I thirst for a Fat Tire or a Sunshine Wheat is to head to HEB. I almost fell down when I saw both brews on the shelf (I prefer to fall down after the beer, not before). Of course, it isn't as good as having a cold one fresh from the tap at BW-3's while rooting against the Red Wings, but I'll take it.

Happy Pappy? I'm in now. You can read today's update if you're smart enough to switch your fancy little
web browser to my researcher #39209. So, I'm supposed to ask you a question about your Fat Tire experience.
How expensive is it (the Fat Tire) where you live? Also, I've read your underdog article. What's the deal with posting
those type of articles? I'm not sure I fully understand the h2g2 thing yet.

Both Fat Tire and Sunshine Wheat cost $6.99 for a six pack. Not dirt cheap, but cheaper than flying to Denver for our supply.
I'm not quite sure what the actual point of H2G2 is, but it might help for you to read some articles to see - check out some of the suggested ones on the H2G2 home page. I found the Australia article interesting and humorous, for instance. The point seems to be to set this up as an earth version of the actual Guide in the book, where you might learn a little about the subject you are looking for but you are more likely to have a laugh or two. I attempted this in my first submission, but no word yet on if I suceeded. I found an article on how to submit and not be rejected, and one of their suggestions was to have fellow researchers read your article. I posted a message asking how the hell would people find my article BEFORE it was accepted, and four people so far have replied. Unfortunately, they all want the same thing I want, and I'm not much for constructive criticism (ask that editor lady we both know). But if you write something I'll be glad to try some criticism. Maybe it will even be constructive.

I forgot to explain what will happen if my underdog thing is accepted. Right now it is just a user page, and is only accessible from my list of stuff. But if it is accepted, it becomes an official H2G2 article, and can appear on their home page under newest articles, top 5 articles, random articles, etc. In other words, not only does it mean you are a better person because a group of strangers you will never meet have accepted your work, but it also means there is a better chance people will read it.
Make sense? I'm not sure, but it's fun trying.
