No time to write more entries, update the homepage, shift all the files this page calls off Geocities (who are getting tetchy about offsite requests, put some more crosswords up at http://www.angelfire.com/az2/bloatingfish/cross1.html , tidy my stuff up ready for moving, get back into sub-editing, go swimming, sit on top of a hill watching the sun set, find out how much Sea Kelp costs from the herbalist and whatever else it is I've forgotten I was going to try and do.
In the meantime, job is easy though time-consuming and less financially rewarding than it should be considering the amount of people over whom I am asked to watch. Band website is meeting with interest. Days are lengthening and getting up at 05:30 is nowhere near as hard as I would like to make it out to be to people that wake later. Still got to sort out the early-to-bed half of it, though.
More later. Food to be eaten and newspapers to be taken to the recycling bin after their holiday all over my floor.

hello there, don't let me disturb you...i was just wandering about h2g2 remembering 'the good old days' back when the site was fresh and new, back when it wasn't so vast and lonely.....

You mean the days when the background fitted the colour of text you'd set up on your homepage, when the little blue flecks on the rushed flying pig GIF were invisible and when you knew everyone's name?
When you were called monshari....

Yes, those days ....Monshari...hadn't thought of that in quite awhile. We can thank h2g2 for the shortened name, it has grown on me though and believe it or not i am finding quite a few people IRL that have begun using the Monsy name when referring to me...hhhhmmmm, should this be good or bad?? must think on it for a bit and figure it out .
I do miss the old Goo colour...yea, i know you can decide which one you prefer and use it but it just isn't the same....everyone is having to make sure their page works in both (not me, i made sure it didn't matter ).
Names....sheez, last time i looked at the who's online button i didn't know a soul on it this is not to say i don't know anyone it is just saying i don't know quite a few of the new ones. of course it might be partially my fault as i seem to of been keeping myself quite busy IRL...i used to work with the Post and Aces but found that i was not able to keep up so i had to hand the titles over and am now content to just watch the others run with it ....
maybe it isn't such a bad thing to have the site so big but i just enjoyed it so much more when it seemed like family. now it just seems like a mall where you bump into people, some you say hi to and others you just pass on by never giving a second thought to....

vague sort of pride that I was here in the beginning

Forgotten all about the emoticons. Hmmm... Never new what most of them were anyway.
Are you familiar with the people-as-scenery theory? Seems a shame that it's come into play in this place, though there was evidence of it from the start with the people who merely came to leave a link to some other site. In a way I'm glad that I missed a large chunk of time from which the transformation from the small to the large took place. At least now the site is getting the large input it really needs to be a fully-functioning Guide.
;( Even if it becomes too big to support the local tribal-style community that existed in the beginning, there'll always be the journal bits. Complete system crashes aside, there'll always be a record of your thoughts here.
Thing is, do I really want my children and so forth to read all this sort of stuff?

sorry for the delay there....seems i am swamped at the office and home leaving no time for fun stuff .....oh well, guess that is what comes with being an adult and wanting things like food and stuff
i am familiar with the theory and to bad for me...i was here for the change came quite suddenly actually and it took me a bit to get used to it...still getting used to it i guess.....
i am not really sure if i would want my kids or grandkids to read what i have here or not....wouldn't want to tarnish my evil witch persona hehe!!
