What is it about the thought of long journeys that makes me feel uncomfortable? I have the funny feeling it has something to do with all those idiots out there on the roads who don't give a monkey's betty swollocks who or what they charge through in pursuit of their objectives.
I have been remarkably consciencious of late because I have my family to worry about in the car with me a lot of the time - however, not every one on the roads has the same thoughts as me. I've seen fathers driving along with one hand, the other clasping a mobile phone, in heavy traffic with babies in the back, oblivious and secured in their booster chairs. Am I thinking strange thoughts here - doesn't that seem terribly wrong?
People need to slow down. I don't mean doing 50 on a motorway - I mean doing the speed limit and a bit. That, for some people, would be slowing down considerably. Rant, rant, ramble, ramble...
Now I feel slightly better. Should set me up for a nice weekend. However, I have to consider that long trip I have to make next week... Bleurgh!

Good for you! Inappropriate speeding is highly anti-social as is cutting in, tailgating, red light jumping, using mobile phones, drink driving, etc.
Inappropriate speed is a big factor in accidents, particularly coupled with insufficient attention.
