The countdown tick-tocks away, and my stress levels rise steadily towards the point where steam is likely to shoot out of my ears. I have the promise of a wonderful holiday from the 23rd August until early September, but to feel guilt-free I have one-hundred-and-one things I need to clarify, document and train at work. Not that the company is likely to fall flat on it's face if I'm not around to do something about it. I'm sure I'm really not that important; but, there are still one or two things that I've fallen into becoming something of an expert on, whilst everyone else will need to trawl through a disheartening quantity of documentation to answer questions. Maybe I should just relax and forget about it...? Give in to The Holiday Feeling and let the rest of the world simply slip away...

Once that holiday begins..... does the travel stress kick in ? You could just be merging from one stress type to another.
You may, in actual fact move into a false security of actually feeling relaxed. when in fact ahead of you, the travel horrors are just about to begin........

What a terrible, terrible thought. I certainly hope that this isn't (or wasn't) the case. I'm sure, given half of an opportunity, the stress levels will just generally decline. Allowing for a period of transition, obviously. I mean, stress doesn't simply dissipate at the drop of a hat. Actually now that I've returned from holiday I've found that the holiday feeling is clinging on desperately and, as of yet, I haven't started hating work again like I probably did before (well, hating might be too strong a term... but it's the only word that's flinging itself to mind at the moment...).
