Hello dearie.
It's so lovely to see/hear/read you again. I do most of my h2g2ing from work these days so I don't have access to icq most of the time I'm afraid.
I've been following your movements from a polite distance(the 'almost not ok' forum). You and your family have my utmost well wishes.
On a lighter note, how's life outside of all of that?
I've been seeing NM popping up around the place which is wonderful. I was thinking he'd left this place altogether. Say hi from me .

everything, for the most part, is going well on our end. it has been a very busy year and seems to have past us before i noticed it. i can't believe it is almost again. marijke is moving to wyoming sunday morning and then next week boo and marcy are moving out. it is going to be strange having only mark tamara and myself at the house. we lost one boarder last month then these three this month. i won't know what to do with myself. we will actually have a spare room again and the basement room can go back to being a storage room. the space that we will have is going to take some getting used to.
i do wish that marijke would at least wait until she graduates but it seems to late for that. her grandparents took her to the school and let her drop out. only a few months left in her senior year and her father and grandparents talked her into dropping out of school and moving halfway across the country. a strange group of people. i figure the only thing i can do now is wait to catch her when she falls, or more likely when they trample her again, then catch her.
anyway...how have things been on your end? i bet that little one is getting just as cute as can be. this will be a christmas he will really have a handle on what is going on you will have to email me some updated pics of him
oops, i think i wrote a small book here and really must get back to my office work for a bit

On my side of the world...
Things are going pretty much as normal. The boy is growing in all respects. He's 20 months old, but most people mistake him for 2 and a half. He's learning to talk and trying desperately to communicate. Yesterday he used the word 'cuddle' properly and, after cuddling the bride and I proceeded to say 'cuddle' and hugged the couch, the tv, the cat... everything. As you can tell by that story alone he's going through a very cute stage at the moment and we're lapping it up!
The bride's wrapping up the school year atm and her year 1s (6-7 years) are moving on. She's getting ready for the Christmas break (the equivalent to your summer break) and pettering around the house.
I'm doing well. We're doing another calendar at this end of the world, and I'm thinking it'll be my last (until I'm asked to do it again of course LOL). Taking photos, arranging pages, organising people... I don't know why I do this to myself! One thing I do know is... this will be the best one, which is why I've decided to quit while I'm on top. Anyway, I'm being my normal hectic self. The kind that says 'You're already doing too much with your time... why not take on another project while you're at it!?!
You'd think I'd learn.

nah, you never learn. kind of like me...always trying to do everything at once, thinking that i can handle it and that it won't be as big of a problem as it turns out to be. mark is always giving me a hard time about doing so much and never sitting still. i tell him it keeps me from getting bored then trouble
.
.
kids are cute at that age and you can't help but find yourself getting cute right along with them. i always liked how excited and proud they'd get over the smallest thing. kept a smile on my face most of the time just watching them discover new things
.
.
as for weather...i am FREEZING!!!! i need to be rich enough to afford to move with the weather. you know, when it turns cold move somewhere warm then when that place turns cold move to somewhere else warm .
.
ok, best get my buns back to work, i am typing this from my office desk and i don't think the ones who pay me would enjoy knowing i am surfing h2g2 on their dime

not sure yet what is planned for christmas day. everything is up in the air until we find out when keith (my son) is going to be here. mark and i are going to try to do something christmas eve for our anniversary (christmas day) but don't know what yet. it has been such a hectic year i still have to finish the christmas shopping
i am hoping everything goes smoothly, whatever we end up doing for christmas day. marijke is still in wyoming and i haven't heard anything from the grandkids mom yet so we are really in the dark and running out of time.
how about you? what are plans on your end?

Christmas is one third over now for me.
Santa's been and Lachie's enjoyed himself thoroughly, especially having his grandparents here since Christmas Eve. He and the bride are sleeping atm (my folks are off to a big family party).
Soon we'll be getting ready for lunch at The In-Laws, and that will be lots of fun, as his only cousins will be there. More presents too of course.
This evening he'll (hopefully) have another sleep so he (and we) can recharge our batteries and we'll give him a couple more presents (from aunties and such).
So a jolly itme indeed is guarrenteed for all.
Merry Christmas to you and yours Monsy.

i really am going to have to start coming into h2g2 more often. i was sitting here eating my lunch when i decided to pop in here and see what has been going on. well, slap me with a noodle but i forgot we were chatting over here and now it is a couple weeks beyond christmas so i am late late late
christmas went well for us...well, except for mark and i being quite ill during the holiday. the kids were out of town with relatives for the holiday so we were able to sit on the couch and recover from whatever illness we had.
we are still waiting for marijke to decide that she needs to come home. i am hoping it won't be much longer. i was nice though and shipped her a package full of warm clothes and such.
ok, back to work for me...

*peeps head up from cobwebs*
I'm still resting. Seems like eons since I've last been here.
Wonder what's going on with the h2g2 world?
