h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

 I've recently become addicted to a cartoon recently called 'Daria'. Has anyone else out there discovered this little gem?

I have to admit I'm a cartoon addict, especially of those produced during the Hanna Barbera era of the 70's. But there's a lot of good stuff coming out now. Anyone else out there who shares an addiction for cartoons?

But its on Channel 5 here and is all fuzzy.
I still think the Simpsons and the older cartoons are the best

The thing that has me the most excited at the moment is Futurama, which is wonderful. Matt Groening has done it again...

But tell me what do you think of the Flash animations on h2g2, e.g. A1035?

Futurama hasn't reached Australia yet unfortunately, but I'd love to see it.

I've checked out a few of them, and on the whole they're quite good, especially in terms of writing (of course) and the animation is reasonable, considering the miniscule size they have to be filewise. (the only one I saw that was low in both areas was the hypnotism sequence)

One thing that could improve the overall feel of them: at the moment, they just freeze at the end. I wonder if the people in charge of such things could toss in a little bit of interactivity in there, something that Flash is good for. Nothing much (once again file size is important) but maybe a button for replaying the animation, one to exit as well as making a couple of things move when they are clicked. Looping a blink or a small movement at the end could also avoid a static picture.

Wowbagger
