h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

For those people curious about such things...

My lovely wife is fine - 5 weeks and she's back to work and I work from home!!! Shall be interesting to see how that works out. I'm looking forward to it. The bride is certainly chomping at the bit - desperate to get back out and about!

The boy is now 5 months old - can you believe it!?! He's onto solids a bit now - has a bottle most of the time and eats all manner of things - rice cereal, pumpkin, apple and stuff - doesn't like peas at all. And speaking of solids, that's the best way to describe him - solid in a rugby league front row forward sort of way, rather than solid in a little Buddha way. Don't mention football though - his mother says he will never play it (though I did put a good argument in for soccer - I think). As for milestones - his first tooth appeared yesterday!!! I think the bride's going to stop feeding him soon - funny that.

As for me I'm still working at a place called Liquid Animation, though at the moment production has stopped on the kid's health site I'm working on. At the moment we're animating 4 episodes of a new TV series for Disney called 'The Proud Family'. Best way to describe it is a combination of 'The Cosby Show' and 'The Simpsons' (though kid friendly enough to be on Disney of course). I'm part of the Layout/Background Design department, which means I have a pencil in my hand all day rather than have a computer in front of me, which is a very nice change indeed.

and let me put my two cents in by saying from the pics i have seen so far (and trust me he is a PROUD papa who LOVES a camera) that is one of the cutest babies i have seen in a long time...smiles from ear to ear and can wear food in the most fashionable way

oh come now, you can't tell me you don't want another little tyke to keep this one company now can you? and besides that, those 2 hour feedings and that teething thing is something that everyone just luvs beyond belief

come now, it can't really be that bad now can it?
of course this is coming from someone who has kids that are almost grown and out of the house so i am looking forward to solitude with my dear hubby in about 2 years time (at the most, we hope)

If they're all out in 2 years I sense an mass exodus on your hands LOL.

well, at the moment we are lucky enough to only have the two teenage girls in the house. stepson is sort of here (has a bed in the basement room) but spends most of his time at his girlfriends. btw, update....him and his otherhalf split up a few months back. the first grandchild is with his mother and the other three are with their mother (all four by same stepson) so they are not staying with us at the moment either man! you would not believe how big our little house got when they left LOL!
as for the project...i figured it was full by now but if you have an opening then i best get my buns in gear now hadn't i?

Speaking of your creativeness... how's the ceramics going?

sadly the ceramics have slowed down greatly due to lack of time. i still have a basement room filled with greenware and supplies which i drag out from time to time. i wish i could drag them out more but such is life i guess. mainly what i am doing now is requests from family and friends. i always have someone who would like this or that and they come tell me which throws me into gear getting it done for them. i don't mind at all either because it is very soothing for me .
btw....did we ever find our why they made NM take your trouble tom link off his page? strange happenings there...don't understand that at all, that link had been there since you showed us where it was to begin with.

It's a curious thing. I think it was just missed more than anything else. That's my theory anyway.

I'm pretty sure I've been bugging them lately with copyright concerns with h2g2life and stuff like that. Maybe it was noticed because it had my name on it? May be paranoid too LOL

Saw a t-shirt today: "You're just jealous because the little voices are talking to me!" The bride and I cracked up over that one LOL

yes, i suppose you may have a point on them being a bit nervous and all. i do hate that it had to go though teach NM to update his page, i think that is what tipped them off hehe!!
