Nice to see you Glaws.
He he
Baldurs Gate is alright, Just DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT start playing Ultima On-Line or Ever Quest.
Also based on D&D but they are VERY addictive, I've seen friends disappear because of this.
I do highly recommend Dune. Here's a bit of a cross over -
Lovecraft / Cthulhu any one?
And while I do really enjoy Sci/Fi I haven't been reading a lot of new stuff. Our book stores are swamped with these megaverse stories, and frankly X-Men, Doom, Rifts, and Star Wars are not novels I want to read. Aliens on the other hand is alright.

Sorry, disappeared there for a while. Just saw there is a new Katharine Kerr book out - The Black Raven (Deverry again), so my not buying anymore books until I've finished this lot has gone out of the window
Has anyone read the Orcs books - by Stan Nicholls if that helps
They look OK but I like a recommendation before buying
And I think a must for Christmas is Nanny Ogg's Cookbook (Discworld).

nanny ogg's is out for xmas here, but i haven't seen it in the flesh yet - new hardback coming out here soon, the fifth elephant, you buys may already have it
but don't read too much, it distracts from study

Yes but reading pratchett is so much nicer than wilds various comments on total quality managemnet or anything to do with mistake and misrep (thats a complete nightmare)
I haven't seen the fifth elephant yet, but the bookshop I like to frequent has been rebuilt over the last 6 months, finally opened saturday - but I managed to avoid going in for a nose around. Which would of course have lead to a considerable decrease in current assets.

Hi Avatar
I haven't read the star trek cook book, but i've seen it - sounds absolutely revolting. Just the sort of meals to serve to friends

we have an act here that specifically deals with mistake and misrep, and although it is a hideous piece of legislation it does make things heaps easier (except for s6, which screws everything up, but we all like to ignore that apparently)
but then i haven't got any results back yet, and i could be very very wrong about my grasp on such matters
i haven't actually seen the fifth elephant yet either, although i got a frantic call at home today from mr the red, who had read this thread and was worried that a terry pratchett book had been released in nz without his knowledge, and who accused me of withholding vital information - after i made his ear drums bleed he calmed down

ooohhh haven't seen that here yet, not in the advertising material or anything, so it may not be widely available - then again i don't think the shop i work in would stock it anyway. will have to check the system
s2? here i think that only deals with defining mistakes, or something, but i'm really not sure, the exam was open book so we didn't have to learn the section no's so i didn't

Section 2 of our act allows the court to award damages, because the parties are unable to return to the pre-contract state. I think?
It's all very boring
I still haven't weakened and bought the Katherine Kerr book yet, but I've got a 2 hour train journey to London (Xmas Shopping - I'm just sooooooo organised - Not!!!!!!) and so it's looking tempting.
There's also a Science of the Discworld Book out, which I hadn't seen before! Apparently a good pratchett story wiv sum sience frone in!

yeah we've had the science of the discworld for ages, but it's in hardback adn really expensive, so no one's bought it
(cue irate phonecall from mr the red)
i still haven't actually seen the fifth elephant. we definitely haven't got it in stock yet, so maybe it's not coming. hmmm. nevermind
train's are allegedly good places to read - i've only been on a train twice in my whole life

I did notice there weren't many trains over there. I enjoy the journey, just spending hours reading.

A good rule of thumb is never to eat anything your sister cooks for you, especially if it's experimental

So how is it that mom's turn into great cooks?
They had to be someone's sister at some point.
Think of it this way Glaws.
Your acting as a guinea pig is helping build the foundation of positive culinary expierience for her future children.
As a note the new Gibson is out. Bought it but won't be able to read it for a while.
