h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Are you planning for NaJoPoMo 2018? I've been wondering what to do this year. I've done haikus, alphabet soup (twice) talked about food, and written a story about a murder in a town council. I don't want to write a kind of diary, because it would be very boring.

I don't think many people read serious poems, though I could try limericks and clerihews (at the risk of being rude.)
I've got one or two ideas for stories I could try out on you, but I might not know when I start out exactly where they'll go...

I have it planned out, to some extent.

The theme will be Cursedmas, the Devil's version of Christmas. He's a bad loser, you see, after Jesus refused to be tempted in the desert.

Maybe the had a hand in steering the Romans to adopting Christianity, knowing that Jesus' sympathy for women's issues would be negated by the Roman patriarchal culture.

I can't go too far in undermining traditional understanding of Christmas, though, so mostly the will do silly/funny alternate holiday events. Maybe the Grinch will have a sleigh pulled by eight Santas. Or maybe not.

The darkest part of Winter is a time when I need a holiday. I will use what I can get. This is Christianity's opportunity, but the can also make hay.

Mine'll be another travelogue--we moved cross-country this summer.

Did the country seem particularly cross this year?
