Term has recently started here, so things have been kind of busy. I should really write more exciting and interesting things here, but as I'm (a) supposed to be writing an article for a friend on what's wrong with the Internet (lots of things, but I won't bore you now - ask me if you want to hear the default rant) and (b) up to my eyeballs in
work, it'll be a while before anything gets written that's particularly insightful, fascinating or actually worth reading.
Minor plug, though - I have two books on the go right now, "Mastering Algorithms with Perl" (the new O'Reilly Perl book) and about my millionth reread of "The Cuckoo's Egg" by Cliff Stoll. They're both highly recommended, and in particular, if you're involved in computer security and you haven't read "The Cuckoo's Egg" you're missing out. Worth it just for the cookie recipe.
I'm also rereading my "Life In Hell" books, but that's more the few-cartoons-when-you-feel-like-it kind of thing and doesn't really entirely count as Literature.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
