It's funny but although I always pop by once in a while I always hange around here a little longer if I am feeling down because you all cheer me up so much!

Has it turned into winter there yet? We missed autumn nearly completely here in Pennsylvania.

The leaves turned beautiful of course, it's just that the temperature went from the 80s to the 40s in a weekend - and it hasn't warmed up since. smiley - blue

We've even had some snow flurries...

Hi Jimi - we too have had no autumn. Last weekend it turned from summer to winter in a matter of hours and the storms blew all the leaves off the trees in one go! it's a shame because I like Autumn.

How are things round there? Are you settled in your home yet?

Are we settled in our new home yet?

Is anyone?

Ever?

I pulled a half dozen bushes out of the ground a few weeks ago because they were ugly and I had intentions of taking advantage of the 'Indian Summer' to re-landscape that area - and then winter came. smiley - grr

We're doing a room at a time - the eldest daughter's bedroom is done, the youngest daughter's room is done except for the furniture and then it's on to redo the bathroom...

I've got a nice 'honey-do' list to keep me busy until the spring thaw I reckon...

How are things at Maison Feisty-Dastardly?

hee hee! Things around here are just like that too. I want to decorate the dining room before christmas but as DD points out I haven't actually done the finishing touches to any of the other rooms we have decorated yet.
I have just been out and planted loads of tulip bulbs and I think that is the last of the gardening for this year.
We also have a bit of a seating problem at the moment becaue=se we bought two new 2 seater sofas but can't get rid of our 4 seater sofa. We even tried giving it to charity but they weren't interested. We have to get rid of it before christmas so that we have room for the huge christmas tree!

When is bonfire night?

I would imagine a big four-seater would look absolutely brilliant set aflame...

smiley - ok

Bonfire night is tomorrow but there are pretty much only organised displays around here and I think European Law might have something to say about burning sofas because of the poisonous fumes! Good idea though.

I think I've found another shop that might take it - want to bet that I can't give it away but I can sell it?
