h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Instead of writing about myself in my intro (which would just put people off way to early) I have decided to write about myself here.
I am 15 yrs old, live in a small village in Cheshire and wanna be a vet. I love "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (esp. David Boreanaz and James Marsters) and "Johnathon Creek". Unfortunately, as I only have terrestrial TV I have only seen up to halfway through "Buffy"
I have a phobia of doing any physical exercise esp. hockey on a freezing cold day in tee-shirt and games skirt.

One point to notice is the Christmassy smilies which are very cool see!

As you can probably teel by my name I love dolphins and when I am 18 I have persuaded my parents to take me to swim with them.

well that's enough about me for now as you will be getting very bored (if you're still reading at all)

You sound like a really cool person..... why don't you think people would be interested in you?
What are the criteria for becoming a Dolphin Friendly Researcher? Are you proposing a list?
In my opinion Dolphins are ultimately cool and should be Encouraged.

I noticed on your page that you sing in a choir. Do you play a musical instrument as well? I love music and play the flute and piano as well as singing in 2 choirs.

Coincidence! I play flute too! I used to play bassoon, and I pretend (not very convincingly) to play piano.
Unfortunately I've not had as much chance as I'd like to play flute in a group since going to uni... are you in any instrumental groups as well as your choirs?

I'm in the chamber orchestra at school and our Big Band (which being made up of about 15 people isn't really v. big!) I also play in a flute choir outside school.

I used to play in a flute choir... next year I'm gonna have a shot at setting one up...
what voice do you sing? I'm a soprano...
Watching Jonathan Creek 2nite? I don't think its a repeat!

I sing mezzo soprano or soprano. J.Creek is NOT a repaet and looks quite good. I got the guide to the making of it (or whatever) for Christmas and it's really good!

I look forward to watching it... but not tonight as my mum is forcing me to record it
I grow up, partially leave home and still she gets to boss me! One day I shall buy my own telly.
Who's your favourite composer? And pop group/singer?

PS I *nearly* live in Cheshire... its 5 mins walk away!

My favourite composer (although this is mainly for his flute music) is probably Debussy or Faure.
I don't really have a favourite pop group although I do like Shaniah Twain (or however it's spelt)
Have you watched Johnathon Creek yet? It was v. funny but I didn't think that it was one of the best plots. How about you?

It was ~very~ funny, I'm glad I don't have a whole bunch of impersonators hanging around [not that I ever would ]
I tend to agree with you about the plot though.....
did that old lady have no visitors for 12 days? I'm suspicious.

Hey Emma,
Don't put yourself down.We all know how stressful a hockey game can be at school and especially at the Grange.In those small skirts and thin cotton tops.Buffy has actually just started the new series on sky which is actually quite cool!!Johnathon Creek however has lost the plot a bit but it is still keen in the running.Well I think that is enough from me.See ya at school.
