Yumm, summer is almost here. And as proof some friends who live 'up north' sent me some mangos. yyyyyYummMMY!.
There's only one problem with having lots of free mangos & that's you eat them all real quick. Which leads to another problem.
Gotta run!.......

What do you Southern Hemisphere types do for X-mas. Do your decorations contain a wintry theme like snowmen and icicles or do you do surfboards and seashells? My daughter asked me that as we were hanging plastic icicles on our tree (she has a friend who just moved down under).

Hiya
Sorry fir the delay - my 'puter decided it would sulk in the corner doing nothing until I bought it a new hard drive
Aussie Christmas decorations are pretty much the standard wintery theme - snow & reindeer & Santas in warm suits - the big difference is that we often go to the beach on Christmas day

So after singing 'I'm dreaming of a white Christmas' everyone heads to the beach?
LOL!
That's the life for me!

Ahh, now it makes sense!
Are the kids in school now or do they have off for the summer like we do in the northern half of the world?

Christmas/Summer school holdays are on now - just a bit of extra crowding for the Chrissie shopping

Sounds delightful...
Still, as a kid, I guess it's pretty cool to be able to play with X-mas toys for the whole summer rather than ahving to wait to ride that new bike until Spring!

Hmm never thought about that, but I guess the bike thing would be true - though of course the opposite would apply if you got ski's or a toboggan
