I discovered a deal in car pricing tonight that may have me driving home a new car tomorrow. I probably shouldn't, but what the hell, it's only money, right? And you only live once, yeah? smiley - winkeye

So what did you get?

I looked at the picture and all I could figure out was that it's silver! smiley - winkeye

Does it have a good stereo? Does it go real fast? Have you driven it through any tunnels yet?

Details man, I need details...

So, what size engine does that baby have? Manual transmission? What kind of struts and shocks?

Guess I was really sure to give you no front or rear visual clues, eh? But I think I'd know it anyway, just cos I'm a car nut. It's an Acura Integra LS, model year 2000 (woohoo, my first ever brand new car!) My previous car was a 1989 Integra LS (though it was red). And the deal was good, very good, too good to pass up.

And it drives wonderfully and no, as a matter of fact, I haven't had it through any of the tunnels yet. They aren't on my way from here to work, on my way to the dealer where I bought it, or anywhere else I normally set out for. Has decent stereo, 6 speakers with CD player. All the goodies on it are standard, even though the LS is now the "base" model. Sunroof, cool wheels, power this n that, etc. The engine is also standard, but enough. Performance is similar to my old car. The engine may be a bit stronger (140hp, 1.8L 16 valve DOHC 4-cyl, if you must know; the hotter VTEC engine in the GS-R makes 170hp) in this one, but it's also heavier than the old car. Much quieter, too.

And oh yes, manual transmission. But of course. The only way to fly. smiley - winkeye

Come on, the TT costs twice as much as this car. That'll have to be next time. It's still quite a bit of fun, just not as exclusive.

I was looking at Jettas, sort of, but I couldn't get as good a deal on the one I wanted. (In the Jetta, the base engine is too wimpy IMHO, so I wanted the 1.8T.)

Now, if only I can avoid fainting when the payment is due. smiley - winkeye

Mmmmmmm. Cool wheels, dude.

If a TT costs twice as much, I gues we can just call this one a 'T'...
