No no. The mice in here have these over sensitive buttons on either side. If you press the buttons it's like hitting on the "Back" or "Forward" parts of your browser window. So when I reach for the mouse it takes me to a page I don't want to go to.

Awww... I havent had that happen to me. This mouse I'm using now seems to be over sensetive to right clicking but that only opens the little menu. Usually I get one that doesnt move properly.

Are you kidding? This is America, /everyone/ knows that the only way to actually get anything done is to kidnap and murder people.

Nah nah!
I don't care about your hurt feelings Canadiattes! If you had any sense you'd come to America, where you can boss all the other countries around!!

Canadiattes?
And no thanks, I'm sure we'd all much rather stay here in Canada and have more respect from other countries Besides, if America is so great why do you have to pretend to be Canadian when you go on holiday around the world!? *laughs and thinks about the "How to be Canadian" book sold to Americans*

You heard me.

Psh. What did they ever do for us?

Er....So people won't mug us.

"Psh. What did they ever do for us?"
I have no idea... Surely they must have done something. Perhaps you want mutual respect so you can get along better and then you can both do things for eachother and then we'll have world peace!!!
"Er....So people won't mug us."
Eddie Izzard says theres two ways to stop that from happening. You either pretend you're Canadian or you say Scooby-Doo!!

*Thinks.*
*Thinks very hard.*

From my extensive knowledge of American history I can only think of one example. That being: France supported us during the Revolutionary War. But since they were doing that primarily because they didn't like Britain, I don't think it counts.

The key word there being "mutual". /No one/ respects us.
Admittedly we don't respect them too much either, but they started it.
Anyway, have you ever wondered why the dove () is the universal symbol for peace? Or for that matter why green and red are colors for stop and go?

By the way, in case you're wondering why I haven't been on, it's because the term's over and the computer lab's closed.

Sorry I dont know what happened there.... I was just gone quite a while I guess... or something.
I've decided not to argue with you further about America and Canada, we never get anywhere...and I hate arguing.
In political science we did a fun sort of exercise. We were put into groups and told that (pretend of course) we had jointly won first prize for something. We had 4 choices but the whole group had to agree. You could choose:
1. $10,000 spread out among the group members.
2. $5,000 each for a trip to wherever you all wanted to go, but you had to all travel together.
3. A $25,000 scolarship, but only for one person out of the whole group.
4. $50,000 donated to a charity of your choice.
My group chose the trip and we decided to all go to Italy together.
My teacher told us that he'd tried that exercise in both the US and in the Phillipenes and we all chose different answers and went about it a differnt way. In the US people in the group might discuss it but it always came down to a vote and the members of the group from the start more or less assumed that they would vote on it. In Canada apparently we each give our own ideas with the assumption that everyone should agree with us. Then we discuss until we all come to a consensus on what we want to do. In the Phillipenes the person who beleives themselves to be the highest ranking in the group makes a suggestion and then everyone else agrees with them (whether they actually agree or not). Interestingly enough we all choose different things too. Apparently most often Americans chose the $10,000 split between the group members. Canadians most often choose either the trip or the money for charity. In the Phillipenes groups practically always choose the $25,000 scolarship.
Interesting, n'est pas?

Very much so.
Although I might prefer the trip, I'm not really sure. By the sound of it I'm glad I don't live in the Phillipines.
If I /were/ to go on a trip, it would be either to Egypt or....Europe in general.
