Right, firstly I apologise for the rant....

But, come on, is it not about time that the Emmy Academy ( of complete idiots) realised that cult shows are a valid source of entertainment for millions of people, and yet year, after year, after year and so on, it is totally ignored...can someone tell me .... WHY!!! I would really like to know.

This year at the Emmy's they even had a special reality (soding) TV award...PLEASE...and yet cult has been going for over 40 years, if not longer, shows like "The Avengers", "The Prisoner" and yet still no recognition. Perhaps I'm just annoyed that Buffy didn't even get a look in again.

I know some of you will say "well we got one for "Hush", but..HELLO..1 out of 144, again I say ...P--LEASE... I think that these, so called academy's need a severe kick up the ****.

Come on you academy guys, sort it out, this is getting to the point of totally rediculous and pretty pathetic really.

Youre probably right to rant about programs like Buffy etc. not getting any awards. But hey Hollywood's just one of those places where people live in their own little world, thinking about it all of the U.S is the same. It's a very wierd place with wierd people. In some cases some of the cult programs are a bit too close to home, know what I mean??? So I think it's easier to give an award to "friends" or "Will & Grace"

The problem is alot of cult stuff cant be catergorized, or easily referenced and fans of alot of cult tv are anorak wearing bizarro's so the emmy folk ignore them!
Never mind that some of the greatest acting EVER has been in Buffy....... S6..... Alyson Hannigan...... big cliff... need I say more?????

Maybe we should send those final 4 episodes to the emmy idiots and they will finally see that they've been awarding the wrong people all these years!!

Besides, the recognition the true starts of Buffy need comes from us, the fans!! That must be better than an award, although Im sure they'd like one of those too!!

Hi there Miranda. Yes they do tend to just be in their own little world, but what annoys me more than anything is that they gave an award for best reality TV show and apart from my utter distaste for reality TV shows, it's only been around for like 2 minutes.

Anyway, I promised myself that I wouldn't start ranting tonight. How are you, tell me more about you. Why do you like Buffy? etc. etc.

Hiya, I've read your page is it ok if I call you Tom??? Well a quick run down on me: I'm a hairdresser (but not your typical
dim one) but that's enough of work. I've been with my boyfriend
for over 15 years now and we've been living together for about 10
years. Got no kids just a little Yorkshire terrier. We live in Sheffield, and do alot of travelling when we can.

We started watching Buffy last year on BBC2, and when Sky started the re-runs we just started watching from the begining which is answering some questions. I watch Charmed as well, but all the guys I know don't watch that 'cos it's for girls! or so they say.

Well, about me, my girlriend is Dawn from the Scooby's, we've been together exactly 3 months now and it's going great. As you can probably tell I'm a complete BtVS nut, I've been watching it from the very beginning and never missed an episode, I'm not usually such a saddo when it comes to TV, but Buffy is special. You will have to pardon my rants, but I get annoyed when peopletry to put the show down, especially the industry people.

As for Charmed, it's not just for girls, I think it's a great show.
