h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

OK, I'm siting here with a huge list of best character episodes, trying to sort it out so you can see, what I believe, what character was best in what episode. Now I have a headache...there's just so many episodes to choose from, but anyway here I go.

BUFFY: Not as many as I thought there would be, but still difficult, because she was so geat in the episodes I picked, like 'Helpless', 'Anne', 'The Prom' and 'Earshot', but my best would be 'Beer Bad', how hilariously funny and Buffy just made me laugh "Parker bad", "beer foamy".

WILLOW: OMG I hope I pick the right one, or someone might kill me. Well 'The Wish' was great and 'Dooplegangland', but purely for different reasons..MMMM..but actually this ones quite easy, it has to be 'Two To Go', "Oh! Buffy, you really need to have every square inch of your arse kicked" and even though not from that episode "Bored now".

XANDER: The Xand man, this is really quite difficult. He was great in all these episodes and just so funny, like 'The Replacement', 'Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered' and hey! How cool was he in 'Grave', but yes it has to be 'The Zeppo' for me, the gang saving the world while Xander has his own little adventure.

GILES: Mr Knocky outty, man of the quick quip and the funny one liner "Your both in a magic shop, and you can't think what Tara might like for her birthday...I do believe you two are profoundly stupid", well there can be only one 'Band Candy', go Giles, you old dog.

If you include the other 3 episodes at the end of season 4, you'll be spot on babe!

Dopplegangland??? MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMM

You know, I didn't really like season 4 at first, because of the Riley/Initiative thing...that almost lost me; but having gone back to it, some of the really best eps were during this season...Living Conditions and Beer Bad were hilarious, as were Superstar and Something Blue...Wild at Heart, so sad, I always cry when I watch that one (mostly 'cause I'm a big dork); and then there are Hush, Who Are You, and the season-ending three episodes...the writing is unbelievable! it's so amazingly good. And I realized on viewing again that Riley was actually less dorky than I thought he was initially.

I can't wait for s5 to come out on DVD. I'm all pre-ordered at Amazon already. Glory is my 2nd favorite Big Bad, after the Mayor. Some outstanding eps this season also...The Body, very gut-wrenchingly intense, esp. for those who've lost a parent; The Replacement, Fool for Love, Intervention, and...of course...The Gift. I can't wait 'til December 9th, it's just too far away!

Hi hun, seasons 5 AND 6 are available on dvd, why did you have to preorder it?? Its seven thats not out til next year

Hi Will!
I'm over here in the U.S., we're a little behind on the DVD's...Season 5 is just coming out this December over here, s6 will probably be in May or June, and s7....a whole 'nother year! At least they got the hang of getting them out before Christmas, tho...the last 2 years they've not come out 'til January. I could get them on VCD thru ebay, but quality's not the best and no special features, so I'll just wait for the studio releases. It gives me something to look forward to, anyway!

P.S. just so you know, I am kind of dorky....but in a good way.

Thats kinda backwards, I'd have thought you'd have had it on dvd long before us here in the UK.
We have season 6 already and S7 is out next year!

It always seemed sort of strange to me too, I don't know why. I feel like we tend to get stuff first, like movies and such, but not living in the U.K., I guess I just really wouldn't know.

I'm way over on the East Coast, in New Jersey...right next door to New York. Recently I heard that NJ now has the worst air quality in the country! We finally surpassed Los Angeles. NJ all the way! I'm kidding of course, it's really kind of unnerving. I guess it's time to move...

By the by, Faith...I agree about "Tabula Rasa"...also, love "Something Blue" from s4...Spike & Buffy planning their wedding is always good for a laugh...Giles, "Stop it, I can hear the smacking..."
