An Awful Lot of Space Between Myself and the Ground

(Didn't he skydive out of a plane with a nuclear bomb on it in series 2? Sorry. Jack's done everything. As you know.)

(Did he? Oh, bum. Was talking about him with Noel in training (phone rang and I've got the CTU ringer ) and neither of us could remember him doing a skydive).
(You such a Jackaholic. )

You're kidding, right?
Going to meet you bunch of weirdos is far scarier than leaping out of a plane.

Should I tag "Officially Scary Weirdo" on the end of my name then?

An Awful Lot of Space Between Myself and the Ground

Finding ten minutes to plummet in isn't easy.
Went at the weekend to do the second stage and ended up huddled up shivering on a bench all day willing the clouds to go 'way.
On Saturday I was talking to another student who had a bunch of things go wrong during his stage 3. Instead of just turning his head to check his altimeter he brought his wrist right in front of his face and lost his position. He went into a nosedive and lost both instructors. Lee went bombing down after him, caught him and gave the signal to deploy but he couldn't find the blummin' toggle so Lee had to pull for him. He said the worst bit about it all was having to pay to retake stage 3.
Me and bro' had originally planned to have all this week off work to get the whole course done. But as it turned out the airfield isn't open Tuesdays, so we were gonna have just today and the rest of the week off instead. Then bro' couldn't get time off. Looks like we might be able to do it tomorrow though, weather permitting.
Noel's gonna ring Michael Fish in the morning and let us know whether or not to go. Fingers crossed that the weather's okay, but if it isn't I'm sure there'll be a little part of me that goes 'phew!'

Here's the best description I've heard for the ground when you sky dive:
Ubiquitous!
It's everywhere, you can't miss it.
