I wish I had a machine that could go "ping"! 
Or at least that Dave would say "compliance" when I press post. 
In t'other words, there's a bloke whistling for a dog outside my window.

If it was the machine that goes ping, I would have declared my undying love. Lucky escape for you then.
Someone ought to tell whistler that if his dog isn't responding it's because either:
1. He imagined the whole thing
2. The dog's taken out a restraining order on the owner
3. Alien/flant/alien flant abduction
4. I've had too much to drink again
