Today it’s ‘Rakshabandhan’ or festival of ‘Rakhi’, Today sister’s tie a silk thread on the right hand of their brothers and brothers give them gifts! So happy Rakshabandhan to all those who celebrate it!

It is Rakshaa Bandhan (littraly translated as Safety band!) call it Raakhi (short form!) As it isgasture for sister's request to their brothers, to save them from all odds and brothers' assurance to their sisters.
I think I can write an entry on 'Rakhi' as it is a significant Hindu festival! I can write all about why do we celebrate it? history behind it? present form? how to celebrate etc.
