It's ticketsale time... weheeee....

"You are number 1269 in the queue, please wait."

And that's after three hours of queueing... I'm glad I got a friend to do it, and I feel sorry for the guy... He'll prolly have to stay up till 5 am or summat to get tickets...

I think I've figured out how the queueing system works... You get a page that refreshes every fifteen minutes... With every refresh, it subtracts an arbitrary number from your queue-number, and with every four or so refreshes, it gives you a new number, which is always slightly higher than the original number... Well, not slightly... It's a lot higher... you can jump as much as five hundred spaces backwards with bad luck... And when I tried entering the queue, I got in in front of some of my mates, who had been queueing for ages...

Ahh, the joys of computers...

Weheee... it's been three hours, and they've so far managed to sell about a hundred tickets... This is the worst ticketsale I've ever seen...

Right, I'm off to the shower, and then to bed. I'll post tomorrow or something and tell you how this drama ended...

its a giant party basically. they hook all of their computers up and participate in activities which the average *normal* person wouldn't.

Ah I know of these gatherings, they are called LAN parties here, but that might only be the small ones. I have never been to one because 1. I get bored of computer games very easily, and 2. I am really not that grate at most of them and 3. I use a mac.

Yup, "The Gathering" is a LAN party, a VERY big LAN party, the worlds largest LAN-party actually... Surprisingly enough, it's held in Norway...

Actually that doesn't surprise me, for 2 main reasons 1. because of http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~gwtp/ and 2. I already knew this fact.

FIVE!!! I just needed a place to write down my thoughts to avoid the stress... Right, so the final score is as follows: I've got a ticket, as has Lawrence and Andreas, Mattias did not get tickets, which means that both he and Andy are on a waiting list.

Acourse... It's very popular, it is... Being the worlds largest and everything... There are always a couple of thousand people who don't get tickets...
