Right, I've just gotten back (actually, no I got back twelve hours ago, but I was too tired to write anything then) from an excellent gig. I'm guessing you all want to know how a DT gig is (if you do not, kindly leave this thread, do not eff me with stupid pedantic comments like "actually, I didn't want to know any of this"). Anyway, the gig went to lasted from 19:30 to 23:30, the band played from about 20:00, for those of you unable, or unwilling, more like to do maths, this equals three and a half hours of playing, minus a fifteen minute intermission. Very little of this time went into crowd-teasing. The singer (James LaBrie), spoke to us for about three minutes, saying how nice it was to be back in Oslo, and then the rest of the time was filled with continous playing, of Looooooooong songs (some lasting for as long as 25minutes). The whole gig was rather relaxed, the audience consisted largely of grown-ups between the age of 20 and 30, though some youngsters were to be spotted around the place. Anyway, the age of the audience meant that there was very little pushing, and contributed to making the whole event rather nice and peaceful. The band were professionals, but they didn't do much to keep the crowd interested, they pretty much seemed to go about their business, ocasionally tossing a pick or a drumstick to the excited audience. All the songs were played with due professionality, though there WERE some interesting instrumental mishaps (Jordan Rudess managed to miss the rhythm completely on a song, confirming everything we ever hear about piano players)... All in all, though, the gig was good, interesting and above all, fun to be at.
Now, I've got to go wash my new DT sweater, to get rid of the smell of cigarettes that it aquired last night.

But how do I know that I don't want to know what you know you know unless I know what you know you don't want me to know?

I still haven't gotten an explanation for all these accusations...

Of course you are... but I was hoping that you had a reason, so we could start bickering...

But aren't we already? Or are we just succeeding in confusing you?

Well, yes we are, but in order to keep a discussion going, you'll need to feed it with arguments, or it'll run dry.
