Two and a half days after returning to the Lair I'm sort of thinking of a new flight. Still jet lagged and in need of time and peace for recuperating I find my home very crowded.
Four Lair Cats - thankfully! , two hatchlings - the third show up for being fed but sleeps at his own place - and a Queen Mum. I assume I should not be whining. It's the first time in several years all my immediate family - all three hatchlings and the Queen Mum - are assembled at one place at the same time.
The Lair is just not made for many people. Even though it's rather spacious the number of beds are very limited. I've got one proper spare bed in my study. had already moved in there when I arrive back home. Then there are sofas and foldable beds in the living room which are occupied by dragonprincess and the Queen Mum. Likewise the sanitary facilities are sufficient for less people, even if it's manageable. You just have to wait for your turn...
Sometimes there can be too much family around. Things that need to be sorted out and fixed tend not to be since the hatchlings just can take a certain amount of Nan at a time. However, it seems as the Queen Mum will visit Auntie next week which hopefully will lower the stress levels in tht Lair.

There can be such a thing as too much togetherness sometimes.
The thing is that, when they've all gone, the place seems very large and lonely.
Oh for happy mediums!

It has been a long time since we have had a family big get-together as our family is very dispersed and small. But even when there are a few of us get together it can get very crowded, and chaotic.

DJ took the Queen Mum for a trip downtown a couple of hours ago, and it's been very quiet in the Lair The Queen Mum is a compulsive talker and my ears can just take so much... But she is nice, and this morning she gave me my morning before I even had left my bed.
Maybe I'm just getting an old and grumpy who'd better stay out of reach of others.
