The Queen Mum phoned and postponed her long feared arrival a week I will hopefully stay a present level of insanity at least two weeks more.

princess has decided to stay in the Far East until next year, provided her visa gets prolonged; in back on the seven seas and DJ is... well... doing...something...

and are bored.

I'm struggling with an online application for a new job that must be submitted preferably before midnight.

It's been raining most of Midsummer, so I managed to stay clear of Maypoles and drunken neighbours.

W*rk takes too much time from my cyber life. I hardly have time to anymore and thus I'm totally unaware of what's going on in HooTooland. Sort of miss you...

And I'm lucky, not only did my parents postpone trheir visit, they cancelled it now. Which means I'll probably go and visit them for a few days in August, which is nearly, but not quite, as stressful as vice versa.

Ditto from me as well.

I'm not expecting to have any visits with family till October. Phew.

I've got mixed feelings though. I both want and not want this job. A positive outcome includes a major relocation, new language, new professional challenges and leaving a place I've lived for twenty years.

...and there are the s... when princess went abroad she happily gave me custody of her s and I'm note sure I'll be able to bring them for many reasons. The legal system in my prospective new domain doesn't exactly have a friendly approach to "overseas" animals.

Oh, all of those things- the major relocation and the issue with the cats- would definitely give me seriously mixed feelings. I don't even like work-related travel.

Maybe it might be worth it, though, if the job is a good one. What are your chances of finding something suitable and positive without a major relocation and/or leaving the cats behind?

I think if the cats have the necessary jabs and stuff and maybe spent some time in quarantine you should be able to take them to anyother country.

If I want to continue with my present occupation, I have a very few options in the Far North. Hypothetically there could be six places where I could work, but all don't deal with the patients I'm trained to care for.

Getting a new job means going abroad, preferably to a country where my credentials are accepted.
